Marketing & Communications Officer
(20 hours per week)
The Mondrian House in Amersfoort is the birthplace of Piet Mondrian. At this special place - in the spirit of Mondrian - it is all about innovation and imagination. At the Mondrian House, you will discover all about the life of the iconic painter and also get to know the work of contemporary artists. Besides exhibitions, the museum offers a broad education and public programme including guided tours, workshops, children's activities and lectures.
Together with the Kunsthal KAdE, Museum Flehite and Architecture Centre FASadE, the Mondrian House is part of the Amersfoort in C Foundation. Our aim is for everyone to feel represented and welcome. The function
As a Marketing & Communication Officer at the Mondrian House, you will contribute to strengthening the visibility and appeal of the Mondrian House. You will contribute to the communication about the museum, the temporary exhibitions and the public programme. You will focus specifically on:
- Further developing and monitoring the Mondrian brand and the positioning of the Mondrian House
- Creating and executing both online and offline campaigns
- Drawing up communication plans
- Organising and publishing content on various platforms
- Purchasing advertisements and supervising printing
- Setting up and organising an attractive public programme
- Analysing marketing results (from audience research)
What we ask:
- A relevant education (at least HBO) in the field of communication and marketing
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position
- A team player with skills in different roles
- Do you live in the Utrecht/Amersfoort region? Then that is a plus.

Volunteers
Wanted: volunteers with two right hands
Do you love art and are you handy and meticulous? Then we might have a great place for you!
The Mondrian House is looking for volunteers who enjoy helping to build an exhibition. This involves work such as: painting walls, removing old hall texts, assisting in placing artworks, etc.
There is a build-up week of five working days three times a year. The next build-up week is from 14 to 18 October.
As a volunteer at the Mondrian House, you will join a team of enthusiastic staff and a large group of other volunteers. You will be trained and supervised by a permanent member of staff. You are entitled to a volunteer's allowance and two or three times a year there are pleasant volunteer meetings.

Internships
The Mondrian House is a dynamic museum with a small team of motivated staff. Results and job satisfaction are paramount. Interns are given plenty of space and opportunities to learn about various activities at the museum in addition to their internship assignment.

Internship for Reinwardt Academy or Art History student
Assignment: collaborate to develop and shape the concept for the next temporary exhibition. You may observe and work along with all the common tasks involved in creating an exhibition.
