To see and do
Families and children's activities

Streasure hunt, DIY workshop, children's workshops, children's parties and much more. At the Mondrian House, there is plenty to do for the whole family.

Children's workshops

The Mondrian House regularly organises creative children's workshops in the DIY studio. During a workshop, under the guidance of the museum educator, you will make or do something related to Mondrian. Such as 'The art of omission', Victory Boogie Woogie' and 'Painting Mondrian's crockery'. Suitable for children from 6 years old. More info and dates:

Children's parties

Are you (almost) having a birthday? Celebrate your children's party at our museum! The Mondrian House offers a special and creative birthday workshop. Under the guidance of a museum teacher, you will first explore the museum and learn all about Mondriaan. Afterwards, you get to work like a real artist. You can take your work home afterwards.

Scavenger hunt

Want to find out more about Piet Mondrian? Then search for the hidden boxes in the museum. Participation in the treasure hunt is free and suitable for children aged 6 to 12. Ask at the Mondrian House reception desk!

DIY workshop

After visiting our Mondrian exhibition, do you feel like making a work of art too? You can do so in our DIY workshop.
We have come up with a few fun tasks for you to do, but of course you are welcome to think of something yourself. Or have fun on the lego wall.

"You get a good impression here of how Mondrian lived and his development as an artist. For children, there is a route with boxes and you can do crafts and play with lego in room 9. Highly recommended!"

"Wonderful museum. Also nice for children to walk through and maybe also make your own Mondrian in the last room."
