Father and son Bas and Thymen Aghina made an animated film together to mark the 150th anniversary of Piet Mondrian's birth. The premiere of the film is on Sunday 20 November at the Mondrian House.
At Piets Dream - an animation we meet Piet Mondrian in front of the blank canvas. He is about to start what will later turn out to be his last painting, the Victory Boogie Woogie.
Father and son Bas and Thymen Aghina have thought about what choices Mondrian could have made as well, and with their film they depict what Mondrian's last painting might have looked like.
The Premiere of cartoon Pete's Dream is on Sunday 20 November at 2pm at the Mondrian House in Amersfoort.
The film screening is free with museum admission.
