Guided tours by children

On Sunday 27 October, children will give family tours at the Mondrian House They will give a fresh look at the exhibition. Sign up for this special activity!

This initiative is part of the weekend school Petje Af. On Sunday 13 October, the aspiring tour guides will first take a quick course in guiding at the Mondrian House. After this training, on Sunday 27 October from 2 p.m., these children will provide guided tours for the whole family in the museum themselves.

Petje Af welcomes curious children (10 to 14 years old) and inspiring guest teachers (18 to 80+) 28 Sundays a year. Children are introduced to different professions. For example, Petje Af operates in the hospital, takes a seat on the suspects' bench, visits the museum and watches theatre performances. During the weekend, practical experience around the professions and meeting between/with our guest teachers are central. The Petje Af method stimulates the budding talent development of our children. The children come into contact with new experiences, refreshing ideas and inspiring role models.
