During the national education strike on Wednesday 6 November, an extra children's workshop, Victory Boogie Woogie, will take place at the Mondrian House.
Music can put you in a certain mood. It can make you happy or make you a little sad. Painter Piet Mondrian was inspired by different styles of music when he painted. By jazz music, for instance, and by the boogiewoogie. His last work of art is even called the Victory Boogie Woogie.
During this children's workshop, you will experience painting to music together with the museum teacher. What do you paint when you hear a slow melody? And what if the music is very soft or loud? Various types of music will be played, including, of course, the rhythmic boogiewoogie!
At the end of the workshop, your piece may be taken home.
