Come to the Mondrian House in the autumn holidays. And just like Piet Mondrian, go bold and make your own work of art!
It is 150 years since Piet Mondrian was born in what is now the Mondrian House. This should, of course, be celebrated extensively. We will do so with creative and challenging workshops, among other things!
In this workshop, children are inspired by the theme 'Guts'. During his career, Piet Mondrian painted various subjects in a variety of styles, from figurative landscapes, flowers and portraits to the well-known abstract compositions with primary colours. Mondrian had guts and dared to 'colour outside the lines'. Do you dare too?
Using different materials (paint, but also tape, paper and sand), children can experiment on a painting canvas. What it becomes they get to decide for themselves. Totally in the spirit of Piet!
