Always wanted to release the artist within yourself? Then learn Sally Pittman know and let you enter her artistic world of textiles and fashion. Flowers have always fascinated her, but for the exhibition Mon:Fleur she was specifically inspired by the flowers painted by Piet Mondrian over the course of his career. Sally's works and her inspirations are on display at the Mondrian House until 15 September.
Are you interested in working with textiles yourself? Then the silk painting workshop, taught by visual artist Sally Pittman is for you
During the two-hour workshop, Sally will talk about her methods and objects and give you a behind-the-scenes look at her creative process. Be inspired by her sketches and collected materials and objects. Mondrian's flowers may of course also be used as a source of inspiration, but you are free in this. Later, under Sally's guidance, you will paint a silk scarf yourself, which of course can be taken home after the workshop.
