For the Lef! exhibition, the museum, in cooperation with the Utrecht School of Arts, selected five young and promising artists: Hannah Meijer, Boukje Kemper, Marloes Roeper, Monika Nowak (Poland) and Tian Teng (China).
On Saturday 4 June, it is possible to meet Marloes Roeper. The artists will be at the museum from 2.30pm to explain their work and answer questions.
Marloes Roeper
A painting by Marloes Roeper (Texel, 1998) is created within one painting session. This self-imposed restriction requires good preparation, courage and focus. Roeper wants to fathom what she sees. With a minimum of brushstrokes, she tries to capture the essence of the world around her. For the exhibition at the Mondrian House, the artist painted a snowy landscape, among other things.
