Lecture Frans Kanters: The image behind the horizon

Would you like to know more about the work of Frans Kanters? Then come to the Mondrian House on Sunday 26 September from 2.30pm for this lecture in which the photographer explains his work.

Frans Kanters' photography is currently on display at the Mondrian House as part of the exhibition Ode to the Landscape. This exhibition brings together landscapes by Piet Mondrian with the work of contemporary artists.

Frans Kanters (b. 1964) lives and works from Amersfoort. He captured the landscape in this area numerous times. His autonomous work is in black and white. Without colour, the receiver can more freely absorb the image, is his contention. The photographer is always searching for the silence in an image. Lines and emptiness characterise his work.
