Looking for a fun children's activity during the summer holidays? The Mondrian House organises a creative workshop where children record their own video.
How will your self-built bird made of lego bricks move through a work by Piet Mondrian? We will explore this in the workshop Mondrian in Motion with lego bricks. Children make the bird and the Mondrian environment themselves with the lego present in the DIY workshop.
After that, participants will start recording a video. This is done with the help of stop-motion. This is a technique where you take a whole series of photos with a small change in each photo. Playing the photos in quick succession creates a short film. During the workshop, you work with your own smartphone or tablet on which you have downloaded a stop-motion app beforehand. This way, you can immediately take home your own movies!
