Enjoy painting outdoors in picturesque Amersfoort? Then come to the 'Painting en plein air' workshop.
Early in his painting career, Piet Mondrian regularly took his bicycle out to paint in the open air and capture what he saw on canvas. Would you like to try this too? Then this is your chance!
After last year's success, the Mondrian House is again organising the workshop 'Painting en plein air' - and this time even on two dates: Friday 11 July and Wednesday 13 August. The workshop will take place in Amersfoort's atmospheric historic city centre.
During this workshop for adults, you and the museum educator will first pay a short visit to Mondrian's early (outdoor painted) works in the museum. Then you will go outside with easel and painting tools and find a nice spot in the historic city centre. Be inspired by Amersfoort's beautiful streets and capture the atmosphere on your canvas. Together with the museum teacher, you will pay attention to light and composition.
