Always wanted to paint outdoors? Then this is your chance! On Friday 9 July, the Mondrian House is organising an exclusive painting workshop 'en plein air'.
Early in his painting career, Mondrian regularly took his bicycle out to paint in the open air and capture what he saw on canvas. Some of the landscapes he painted at the time are currently on display in the exhibition Ode to the landscape.
To coincide with this exhibition, the Mondrian House is organising the painting workshop 'en plein air' on Friday 9 July.
During this workshop for adults, you will first pay a short visit to the exhibition in the museum together with the museum teacher. Then you go outside with easel and painting tools and find a nice spot in the historical city centre. Be inspired by Amersfoort's beautiful streets and capture the atmosphere on your canvas. Together with the museum teacher, you will pay attention to light and composition.
