Sunday 12 September 2021 is the day again! In the streets around the Mondrian House, you can enjoy atmosphere, history, music and a delicious lunch.
The cultural year kicks off in Amersfoort on Sunday 12 September. The Mondriaanhuis and the hospitality entrepreneurs of the Mondriaan Quarter will join in with a musical picnic on Kortegracht and Mooierplein.
Now that Amersfoort's city centre is car-free, it offers all kinds of opportunities for outdoor activities. The entrepreneurs of the Mondrian Quarter seize this opportunity to let the public enjoy the picturesque urban landscape of the city centre.
On Sunday 12 September, everyone can join in for a cosy picnic on Kortegracht or on the Mooierplein from 12.00 pm. You can order your lunch from any of the five participating catering entrepreneurs in the area: AtHein, SEM, Bread & Sweets on Kortegracht or at Blur or Lunch & drinks Amersfoort in the Mooierstraat. The picnic pack contains, besides all kinds of delicacies, interesting information and facts about the area. For example, facts about the famous historical figures who lived here and the works of art on display in the public space. With the pack, you can borrow chairs and choose a nice spot along Kortegracht or on Mooierplein.

There is no need to make reservations for the picnic, just report to any of the participating entrepreneurs.
There you buy your picnic pack and borrow the folding chairs, which you return after the event. A picnic package costs €15

The entrepreneurs of Kortegracht and Mooierplein have joined forces in Mondriaankwartier. Attractive public activities aimed at residents of Amersfoort and visitors to the city centre will be organised regularly under this banner.
