Theatre sports association Bruin Tapijt plays an improvisation performance entirely dedicated to Piet Mondrian at the Mondrian House.
Explaining is a performance of Brown Carpet, one of Amersfoort's most experienced theatresports clubs. Theatresport is improvisational theatre, it is similar to TV-famous programmes such as The Lamas and The floor on. The play arises on the spot, is often humorous, sometimes moving and always different. Bruin Tapijt, founded in 1991, is a breeding ground for talent: the players are professional theatre makers, theatre teachers or improvisation trainers and regularly perform throughout the Netherlands.
The performance at the Mondrian House revolves around Piet Mondrian, of course. The audience can also help colour in, by giving suggestions for the scenes the actors will play next. Come and experience Mondrian's world in his birthplace!
