Exhibition 30 x 30

International exhibition featuring paintings and sculptures by abstract working artists from 15 different countries in the 30 x 30 centimetre format.

Project 30 x 30 was started in the 1980s by sculptor Ellen Roona (1932 - 1995). Works created as part of this initiative were first shown at the international art fair Art Basel 18 in 1987. The project involved 135 artists from 15 different countries.

In 1992, IDAC, the foundation dedicated to promoting concrete and constructivist art, organised an exhibition of Project 30 x 30 in the Netherlands. The works from this exhibition were transferred to the Mondrian House in 1999 and exhibited in the then-new museum. On the Mondrian House's twenty-fifth anniversary, a selection from one of the museum's first exhibitions will be shown again.
