Activities during the summer holidays

During the summer holidays, the Mondrian House is open extra on Mondays from 22 July to 26 August. There are also fun workshops and activities for the whole family.

Also during the summer holidays, you can visit the Mondrian House's Do-It-Yourself workshop daily to create your own artwork after visiting the exhibition. There is also a fun scavenger hunt and various children's workshops.

Scavenger hunt

The artist Piet Mondrian is most famous for his paintings with black lines and red, yellow and blue areas. Want to find out more about him? Then hunt for the hidden puzzle pieces in the museum. Participation in the scavenger hunt is free and suitable for children aged 7 to 12. Ask about it in the Mondrian House's DIY workshop!

DIY workshop

After visiting our Mondrian exhibition, do you feel like creating a work of art too? You can do that every day in our DIY workshop. We have thought up some fun assignments you can do, but of course you can also think up something yourself. Or have fun on the Lego wall.

Friday, August 30:
children's workshop Ginger pot with flower

Go and recreate or paint a ginger pot with a flower. Only you don't have to do so in every detail. Do like Piet Mondrian: draw only the main outlines, leaving out as much as possible. So we will work abstractly with charcoal, wax crayons and paint, among other things.

Time: 2 pm - 3.30 pm
Cost: €2.50 (excluding museum admission)
