Documentary - In Mondrian's studio
From the series Close Up (Avro/Tros, 2015). For those who want to learn more about Piet Mondrian's famous studio during his years in Paris. He perfected his art here, living and working in a studio with a unique, sleekly designed interior. Just like his iconic work painted in the colours white, yellow, red and blue.
As soon as the Mondrian House can open its doors to the public, everyone can come and see the recreated Parisian studio there again with their own eyes.

Maarten van Rossem at the Mondrian House
In 2017, Maarten van Rossem visited the museum for his TV show Van Rossem Vertelt (RTV Utrecht). The Mondrian House had just been redecorated at the time, celebrating the centenary of De Stijl. Van Rossem: "The Mondrian House is a great place to learn all about this painter in a short time, I can recommend it to everyone to go and have a look.
Podcast - Illustrious lives: Mondrian
Triptych of the independent e-magazine Biography Portal, in the series Illustrious Lives. The first part 'Mondrian, the early years' focuses on the period that is also amply represented in the Mondrian House, where he was born in 1872. Via Amersfoort, he ended up in Winterswijk, then his student days in Amsterdam and his first orientation towards new art forms. It also takes a closer look at what role religion and spirituality played in Mondrian's life.
Both the other two parts, 'Piet Mondrian in Paris' and 'Victory Boogie Woogie', can also be listened to via Biography Portal. The 10- to 15-minute episodes from 2017 are a mixture of docudrama and radio play with professional voice actors.
Mondrian as an animated character
British animator Sheila Graber, known among other things for her work on the TV youth series Paddington, made a short film in 1978 Mondrian in which Pete figures as a cartoon character. To the sound of the boogie woogie, all major developments in his oeuvre are reviewed. Humorous, fast-paced and informative.
The secret of the master - Victory Boogie Woogie
In the TV programme The Master's secret (Avro-Tros), a team of experts, led by artist and presenter Jasper Krabbé, takes up the challenge of reconstructing diverse Dutch masterpieces. Not missing from that list is the 'Victory Boogie Woogie'. Piet Mondrian worked on it for two years, from 1942 until his death. A key ingredient is the tape Mondrian used in his work. Will Jasper manage to find the same tape in New York?
