How do the photographs by artist duo Het Wilde Oog come about? On Friday 25 September, Hans Lemmerman takes his audience through his train of thought and way of working.
Note: All available tickets for this lecture have now been sold
Under the motto 'look wild and think nimble', Hans Lemmerman and Inge van Run have been showing for 20 years how the worlds of art and popular culture can reinforce each other. Since 2000, the duo has been portraying women in traditional Spakenburg costume alongside work by various Dutch artists. This produces surprising, alienating and funny images. An exhibition concluding the long-term project is currently on show at the Mondriaan House.
On Friday 25 September at 2.30pm, Lemmerman will show with catchy examples how he, together with Inge van Run and the Spakenburg Divas, has captured the encounters between cultural heritage (costume) and abstract art. Afterwards, there will be room for questions and to visit the Spakenburg Divas exhibition at the Mondriaan House.
