On Sunday 11 September, Amersfoort Splendour will descend on the Bosbad in Amersfoort for the second time. The Mondrian House will also be present at this free cultural event for young and old.
On Sunday 11 September 2022, the grounds around the Bosbad, which will then be filled with the stages, art and creativity of festival Into the Woods Festival, will be opened for free to all Amersfoorters. It is the closing of the festival season as well as the kick-off of the cultural season. The whole Sunday is packed with live music by local acts, theatre, culture. There is also a children's programme. In addition, visitors can enjoy delicacies, brews and a beautiful-things market.
Amersfoort splendour
Amersfoort Splendour is for and by Amersfoort. The 11 September musical and cultural programme has been created in cooperation with many theatre and cultural companies. Amersfoort festival organisation Kultlab joins hands with Amersfoort in C, Library Eemland, Citymarketing Amersfoort, Duda Paiva Company, FASadE, FC Amersfoort, Holland Opera, KOSMIK, Kunsthal KadE, Lepeltje Lepeltje, Museum Flehite, NEOS, Poppodium FLUOR, Rondje van de Stad, Scholen in de Kunst, Theater Flint and Theater de Lieve Vrouw, among others. The Mondrian House will also be present with the children's workshop 'Make your own Mondrian' and a street art demonstration by graffiti artist Chris Snowden.
Mondrian 150
As this year marks 150 years since Mondrian was born in Amersfoort, there are Mondrian activities in Amersfoort throughout the year. Amerfoortse Pracht will also get a Mondrian touch in this context. More information about the Mondrian programme this autumn can be found at mondriaan150.co.uk
