Honourable mention for Mondrian House at Museums in Short award ceremony 2017
On Thursday 31 August, at the awards ceremony of the international Museums in Short prize, there was an honourable mention for the video installation New York of the Mondrian House. This 3D video experience, in which visitors to the museum get a special depiction of Mondrian's years in New York, was developed and produced by Utrecht-based agency Tinker imagineers.
The video installation New York is part of the Mondrian House's new décor. Mondrian's birthplace reopened on 7 March this year with a new décor and new exhibition introducing visitors to the artist, who was born in Amersfoort in 1872, in various (multimedia) ways.
The Museums in Short prize is awarded annually to the best short video of museum-related projects. The first prize this year went to Museum of Yugoslavia in Belgrade. More info
