On the weekend of 8 and 9 September 2018, the 32nd edition of the annual Open Monument Day will take place. Many special buildings are then freely accessible to the public. The Mondrian House also participates on Sunday 9 September and is free to visit that day.
The Mondrian House, the birthplace of Piet Mondrian, is open free of charge as part of Open Monument Day on Sunday, September 9. Normal rates apply on Saturday, September 8.
During the weekend of 8 and 9 September 2018, more than four thousand beautiful monuments throughout the Netherlands will be open to everyone for free. It is the chance to visit a place you would not normally visit so easily and take part in the many activities organised. This year's theme is 'In Europe'. With this theme, Open Monuments Day ties in with the European Year of Cultural Heritage. The focus this year will be on what culturally binds us together in this part of the world.
