The award ceremony took place on 6 March. First prize in the adult category went to Roos Renger. Among the youngsters, first prize went to Floor Ghurahoo, and among the children to Musa Lemaalen.

Piet Mondrian's paintings remain an inspiration for many. This is evident from the painting competition Lef! held by the Mondrian House in Amersfoort. In total, the museum received 428 entries. For painting competition Guts! entries came in from all over the country, from Vlissingen to Leeuwarden to Klazienaveen. The museum also received responses from abroad, for example from Linter in Belgium and even from California an artwork was submitted online.

Jury report

The jury, consisting of Lieven Hendriks (artist and lecturer HKU), Paul Baltus (director Mondrian House) and Febe Verheijen (education Mondriaanhuis) enjoyed looking at the artworks and finally made a choice. Hendriks writes in the jury report: 'In the nominated artworks, the theme of Guts has been translated in a special and attentive way into independent images, which are well worth looking at together.'
