The museum will have restricted opening hours from 6 to 9 October

Due to the installation of our new exhibition, the Mondriaanhuis will have different opening hours and admission prices from 6 to 9 October. The museum will be closed on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 October. On Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October *, the Mondriaan House will be open but not fully accessible. Therefore, the admission price on these days will be 50 % of the standard rate.

A new exhibition is under construction at the Mondrian House: Perpetual Motion, in which multimedia artist Udo Prinsen engages in dialogue with the work and the ideas of the grand master Piet Mondrian and the Canadian artist Guido Molinari. The video and music installation developed especially for the Mondriaanhuis Tape van Prinsen is a contemporary response to their quest for rhythm, colour, movement and innovation.

During the set-up days, access to the museum will be temporarily restricted. Some galleries (those housing the temporary exhibitions) will be closed at that time. Visitors can, however, visit the fixed presentation about the life and work of Piet Mondrian. And also get to work in the DIY studio.

On 8 and 9 October *, the museum admission fee is 50 % of the standard rate. Tickets for these days are available exclusively at the museum’s ticket desk.

* Please note: On Friday 9 October, the Mondriaanhuis will close its doors at 3.00 pm due to the opening reception for the new exhibition.
